Of course, young people will value encouragement and guidance in facing the unpredictable opportunities that they will come across in life. Yet, education, in practice, often places a lower value on the individual by judging them with the same yardstick that is used for the group.

Educators must usher in a change which results in the learner being at the centre of education. There is so much more to being a student and to learning than merely learning reams of facts in order to pass examinations. Is it really fair to judge people by the results of a three hour long examination session. Passing examinations is important and so is garnering subject knowledge. However, an ideal education must be built upon the foundation of a child's sense of wonder and innate creativity. Every educator must ensure that learners find joy in the process of learning. Learning must never become a chore and the pursuit of knowledge a burden.
